| Mr. Homstad has designed and built his passive solar house and studio, designed and constucted sets for several plays, served as a consultant for a CAD_CAM company, done artwork for the books "Building with Cob" ,"Carpenter of Song" by Michael Carey and "Art of the State, Iowa", has appeared in the Artist's Magazine , The Wall Street Journal, and on IPTV on "Living in Iowa", and has judged regional and national shows. He has worked with the Iowa Arts Council in the Artist in the Schools and other programs. He is active in the community, has been on the school board and on the board of the Decorah Regional Arts Council DRAC. In 1998 he recieved a Distinguished Service Award from Luther College. |
